Meet The Team

I’m Kerry Maisels, Founder and CEO of KMBC, a practice built on transparency, collaboration, and a deep commitment to supporting neurodiverse children, youth, and young adults. With nearly two decades of experience in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), I’m passionate about creating services that not only teach skills, but centre dignity, family partnership, and meaningful progress.
I completed my Master of Education with a focus in Autism Studies at the University of Birmingham in England. In 2013, I obtained my Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, and I am currently a Registered Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
Over the past 10 years, my work has focused heavily on developing and overseeing comprehensive ABA treatment programs for children, youth, and young adults.
In 2018, I founded my private practice with a clear mission: to create a service model that is transparent, accessible, and supportive for families navigating ABA services for their loved ones.
I also hold a certificate in Organizational Behaviour Management, which I use to guide systems, operations, and processes at KMBC. My role today includes leading operations, supporting and collaborating closely with the KMBC team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, maintaining strong relationships with families, and overseeing the many moving pieces required to run a growing organization.
Additionally, I serve on the Board of DANI Toronto, a registered charity that empowers adults with developmental disabilities by providing person-centred social, recreational, employment, and community-integration programs.
My approach is grounded in collaboration, clarity, and compassion. I believe that high-quality ABA is built on strong relationships—with families, with children, and with the professionals who make up our team. I prioritize:
- Transparent communication so families feel informed, supported, and empowered.
- Ethical, evidence-based practice tailored to the individual strengths and needs of each client.
- Team alignment and professional growth, ensuring consistency across services and creating space for my team to feel valued, supported, and heard.
- Robust operational systems that allow us to deliver reliably excellent care.
My goal is always to create a practice where both families and clinicians feel safe, respected, and connected.
Outside of KMBC, I spend most of my time with my family, friend and fluffy pup, Ollie. I love Pilates, discovering new restaurants around Toronto, and enjoying moments that bring balance, movement, and joy into my week.
